Al-Barkaat campus is spread over more than one lakh sq. yards of land, in close vicinity of Aligarh Muslim University. The majestic Institute building launched the management programme during the session 2004 - 05.

The Institute has all modern facilities, such as spacious classrooms, state-of-the-art computer labs, on-campus hostel accommodation, seminar rooms, conference hall, indoor & outdoor games facilities, canteen, gymnasium etc.

The Institute attempts to maintain a healthy blend of theory and practice with industry-academia partnerships by organizing Conferences & Workshops and arranging Industrial Visits. The teaching methodology focusses on 'Learning By Doing'. Hence, case studies and management games form an essential component of our curricula.

Our distinguished faculty members constantly develop ways to impart quality management education through industrial and applied approaches. The faculty members undergo FDPs/MDPs regularly to keep abreast of the latest corporate trends and practices and contribute their expertise by attending various conferences/lectures and writing research papers for National and International Journals of repute.

WORLD EARTH DAY 2011- April 22, 2011 (Friday)
 


Dainik Jagran, Aligarh in association with Al-Barkaat Educational Society had observed World Earth Day 2011 on April 22, 2011 (Friday) in ABIMS Premises. On the occasion a large number of people from outside besides all teaching and non-teaching staff members of the institutions of Society witnessed the function. This was 41st Anniversary of World Earth Day. It was first observed on April 22, 1970 by its founder Senator Gaylord Nelson to promote ecology and respect for life on the planet as well as to encourage awareness for the growing problems of air, water and soil protection. On this occasion noted environmentalist Dr. B.D. Singh was the Keynote Speaker. Prof. Salahuddin Qureshi, Department of Geography, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh highlighted the various challenges and issues facing the world in the field of environment. Mr. Subodh Nandan Sharma, Patron, Haritma Pariyavaran Society focused on the issue of conservation of natural resources. The Core Issues of their talks were Climate Change, Conservation & Biodiversity, Energy, Water, Food & Agriculture, Green Economy, Recycling & Waste Reduction, Sustainable Development, etc. It aimed to inspire awareness of and appreciation for earth's environment which included planting trees, picking up roadside trash, conducting various programmes for recycling and conservation and calling for immediate action to stop global warning. Mr. Midhatullah Khan Sherwani, IRS, Mr. Vishnu Kumar Bunty, President Manav Upkar and Er. S.V. Singh also graced the occasion. The Dainik Jagran Group was represented by Mr. Ajay Kumar Tomar, Unit Manager, Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Mr. O.P. Saxena, Mr. Vishnu Gupta, Mr. Pradeep Vyas, Mr. Sandeep Saxena, Mr. Rajeev Agarwal and Mr. Ranjeet Singh. The Guests planted Trees in the Campus on the occasion. Three awardees viz; Ms. Akshita, Chiranjilal Balika Kanya Inter College, Aligarh; Ms. Ekta, Aligarh College of Engineering & Management and Ms. Rifa Khan, AMU Girls High School who respectively won the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes for Essays Writing Competition on the Subject were given the Cash Prizes and Merit Certificates at the hands of Guests. The programme was conducted by the Joint Secretary, Al-Barkaat Educational Society, Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui and the Vote of Thanks was extended by the Director, ABIMS, Dr. Waseem Ahmad. The Programme was concluded with melodious voices of our MBA students with a song “Apni yeh Zameen…….Apna yeh Ashyan” written by an MBA First year student Mr. Mohd. Atif Khan under the banner of a creative team of students named as 'Fun Club'.


Rakht-e-Safar 2011 


Farewell party under the name “Rakht-e-Safar” was organized by the First year students for Final year on April 15, 2011. It was a fun filled evening with exciting performances like mimicry, singing and skits by the students which lifted the mood of the evening. Mr. Faraz Mansoor and Ms. Sadaf ware adjudged as Mr. Farewell and Ms. Farewell respectively. Mr. Akhil Varshney and Ms. Shehla Asghar were awarded the titles of Mr. Stylish and Ms. Stylish respectively. The program was followed by a sumptuous and scrumptious dinner.

5th National Conference on 'Sustainable Development in India : Perspectives, Issues and Opportunities' held on March 12, 2011 (Saturday).
The Institute has organized its 5th National Conference on March 12, 2011 entitled 'Sustainable Development in India: Perspectives, Issues and Opportunities'. The Conference covered a number of Key Research Areas such as:
